JetBlue (B6) Migration to Electronic Ticketing
Successfully Completed January 30, 2010
Effective at 0700 MT, January 30, 2010, JetBlue (B6) migrated to a new hosting system and became a full content participant carrier in the Travelport Apollo, Galileo and Worldspan systems, complete with Electronic Ticketing and settlement through multiple BSP’s, including BSP Canada and ARC in the US. With this migration JetBlue changed from ticketless carrier participation to electronic ticketing participation. Normal availability, pricing, shopping, booking and ticketing commands now apply.
Effective immediately, JetBlue offers Travelport GDS agencies:
· All JetBlue content available via Travelport making booking and ticketing JetBlue easier than ever
· Pricing, booking and ticketing processes that match all other full participant carriers
· Last seat availability through direct access participation increasing the agent’s ability to secure JetBlue inventory
· Electronic Ticketing allowing agents to book and store the fare for later ticketing
· Support for manual refunds and exchanges through the GDS
· Same day void, removing the need for exchange or refund processing
· Code share and Interline Electronic Ticketing with Lufthansa (LH), Cape Air (9K), and Aer Lingus (EI)
· In the near future, support for Seat Maps will be implemented by JetBlue for all Travelport GDSs
Critical details for your agency to know about:
1. Any booking requests made during the migration will be held in a pending status as ticketing will not be possible during this time. Now that JetBlue has completed their migration any pending requests will be processed, a record locator returned once the booking is confirmed, and agents will need to ticket the PNR by midnight January 31.
2. Effective immediately, agents can book and ticket confirmed JetBlue bookings in Travelport and enjoy all the functionality changes noted above. Agencies utilizing scripts or other applications to support JetBlue’s current instant ticketing requirements will no longer need to utilize them as JetBlue will no longer be a ticketless carrier in Travelport. Any SSR FOP messages will be ignored by JetBlue and the PNR cancelled if ticketing is not completed by the required ticketing time limit.
3. Effective immediately, agents will be able to access previously ticketed JetBlue PNRs but will need to contact JetBlue—1-800-JetBlue (538-2583)—directly if any changes are required.
